Adul honey, don't get it twisted, Liberian women do not think they better than other women. If you call having self-esteem, self-respect, class and finesse being better - then I must agree ( WE ARE!). And we are going to continue to work it.... baby boy.
And if other women are intimidated....sorry for those bitches

Now, if you have a problem with being a man...sweetie, don't take it on us.

So, thank you Mr. insecure for that wonderful insight

I'm down with my girl on that. There's just this aura over Liberian girls that intimidate other african girls. We know how to cut of and carry on. and if you are a liberian man and bitching about it, you need to understand that in general both liberian men and women consider themselves better than other Africans. Liberians we are different. we stand out every where we go. Laughing thank u Cool

Kru_Liberiangirl - Can I assume that you're kru? In fact, it's appropriate to conclude you're Kru simply from the brief profound sentence above. You are certainly right, the king of pop knows exactly "what's up". There is no beauty under this sun that can compete with the vibrant skin and exotic yet powerful features of the Liberian woman. It seems as though the gods of West Africa molded her to represent the superficial beauty of the continent. Our women resemble the queens of ancient times - beauty without comprehension.

With all positive attributes, there comes a slight defect - intellect. Perfection is never accompanied by looks alone but most importantly by common sense and some level of intellect. Many of our women lack the fundamental rules of basic comprehension. I find it quite difficult to converse with many of our women who claim to have it “going on”…but that's only my point of view.

I do not totally agree with you AristoLib. Perhaps you've been having conversations with the wrong persons and have decided to make general assumptions about Liberian girls. Nevertheless, I do find it fustrating sometimes that I can not carry through with conversation with some of my friends, and find that I get bored easily. Furthermore, that false impression from back home is still continuing. I have personally experienced that with few Liberian sisters who behave as if they know and they don't. At the end of the day, they get stuck and continuing with their folly refuse to acknowledge this. That's the hurtful truth. That dress up norm from back home with nothing to present for has got to stop!!! Most of us who have travelled to western countries with the expectation of continuing with "our way of life" have been hit hard with reality but some are still in denial.

On another note, I reckon Liberian girls possess an inner strength that they are not aware of. Most of our Liberian sisters carried on as heads of families when parents could no longer afford to(this is the norm in refugee camps and in our homeland even now). This responsibility was something most did not anticipate, however, they rose to the challenge and made sacrifices for their families. That I think is only achievable with sheer determination given those circumstances back there. Aha, the word is determination. Do we lack that now or we've simply become complacent. Anyhow, I suppose if all of the self confidence and high esteem most of us seem to boast of having as an advantage over others was used intellectually what a total package we could have made. Nevertheless, there are a few who have risen to the challenge of being the whole package.

Quite an interesting responds!

Queen Latifah, if I may address you by such - I do not denial the fact that our women are determined in life. Neither do I undermine the aggressiveness and hard working status of our women. Complementarily, every human is equipped with the spontaneous ability to adapt to abnormal situations. When challenged/tested by nature, every human has a free will that determines what route best fits them. We’ve seen many that have chosen to make a difference; hence, SOME of our women – as you well put it “Most of our Liberian sisters carried on as heads of families when parents could no longer afford to (this is the norm in refugee camps and in our homeland even now)”, and others have simply called it quit on life.
As a refugee, I was also placed in situations that inevitably lead to my current position in life – I HAD TO ADAPT OR DIE. We must certainly give credit to where credit due, not comprising the untapped natural ability within us all.

My POINT – We need to challenge ourselves everyday in order to see the magnificent work of GOD. Many Liberian women and men have settled in this “western civilization” disregarding the same burning desire that was once there in the refugee camps or the same burning desire that got them through checkpoints, looking back as others were beheaded. It seems as if our women and men have completely shut their brains to the fundamental rules of intellect. Due to this, our social status is at or below standard in this “western civilization”. The average Liberian woman in the States cannot converse or write above high school level.

Conclusion – OUTER BEAUTY is not enough – more superficial than intrinsic. Education is a necessity. By the way, the word "educate" comes from the Latin word “educo” – meaning “to induce or to bring about”. This is the kind of education I’m referring to, not the institutional methods of reasoning.

You do realize that it is your choice to like or not like Liberian women. I don't know how you came to that decision since you have not met every Liberian woman. From your response I believe you've met some immature girls.
Aristol LIB in your response you talked about "superficial beauty" and "a slight defect intellect"...where are you all meeting these women?!!?
I'm sure you all are aware that not all Liberian women are like that . And I know we've all heard that old addage" all that glitters is not gold", maybe you all need to stop looking for "fool's gold" and start looking for some REAL women (Liberian or not).

I think our guest needs to make clear of some of the characteristics of the LIBERIANWOMEN THAT HE HAS OBSERVED, THAT MAKES HE TO THINK OF LIBERIANWOMEN IN THIS REGARD.

Just because one orange in the bag is not sweet does not mean that the entire bag of oranges are sour as well. If you haven't seen the differences between a Liberian woman and other African women, than you need to take a better look. I'm not saying that Liberian women are better than other african women, just different.

If you have access to a large population of African women, observe women from these countries and let me know your results..
1. Liberia
2. Nigeria
3. Ethiopia
4. Kenya
5. South Africa
6. Ghana
7. Congo
8. Togo
9. Egypt
10. Morocco

This is my challange to you. Pick 5 of these countries, observe the women and let us know if you observe any differences. If you don't then "huston we have a problem". Good luck observing. Stay Bless
