You know what, pike?
I feel sorry that your experiance was so negative, and every of your posts bring just negative emotions.
I'm glad that my experiance was positive, that I grew up among people who likes people, no matter who they are by their nationality or color or something else. And I proud of that.
And, by the way, Rina helped me to contact the person I was looking for.
I wish you the best, to become more positive. There are millions of bad people around, but there are millions of good one, so I wish you to meet the second group !!!!!!!

Pike think carefully about how you address people. I second
Uliya's comments. You are very angry with the world and it is not
healthy to nurture the type of attitude you have.
I don't know who hurt you but don't take it out on people.

Sisi pancake, are you angry about the word mulato/a? So would it be fair for me to write off your anger and declare you hurt, negative, and bitter. It seems you people are not aware or do not want to be aware, The word mulatto is being used on a daily basis here. Also in South America. When compared to us the darker people, they feel proud to be called that. As a matter of fact, if you are not pure white or at least mulatto/a you are practically nobody! I did not know that, there were so many shades between a mulatto and a black person. If i tell you some of the names, that we are called here, you will not believe. These are the very things that my arguments are based on. I did not join this forum to insult anybody. I did not want to participate to have a fight with anyone. If i feel i have a problem and need terepy i will go to the adequate person of course! I joined because i thought it was a place where i could go to communicate with my people. Okay? So please stop analyzing me. Uliya, please! Your story will be for another person but not for me. Can we agree not to disagree about this? I respect your opinion and you respect mine. Okay? Another thing, i am happy that you have had so much love all your life and that makes you a very happy person. Usually you people are always happy, i am happy to know that! But remember that the whole world is not the same. Africa and South America were striped and raped off so that people like you would be very happy today. Good, no? Very positive i would say. But of course we cannot discuss this, you two will get very angry with me, so i keep shut! Let's discuss llighter things, superficial things while using all the latest slangs to show how American or british we are. Sisipancake, i noticed you always agree with others when they make statements contrary to my posts. but when you first wrote me, i think you called me a good person. And talked about helping Africa. Was it a joke or what? By the way Amnesty International lodged a complaint today against Morocco. They have been accused of abandoning west Africans in the algerian desert to die. These west Africans were in morocco trying to cross over to Spain. This is not the first time nor the last. They were also accused of abandoning women and children in the same desert last year. People were even shot. Some died. And when the united nations decided to investigate, Spain blamed Morocco and Morocco blamed Spain. A game. For them we are are toys that are used in thier political arena. Nothin more! And that is how nothing came from out of it. What do you think? Is it something worth getting hurt about or no? If one is seeing things like this and worst, daily, should he feel good about it? And if one is hurt about things like this does that make him a negative person? A frank person is not a rude person. Because some talks frankly that does not mean that he does not know how to talk to people, he's just sincere and says what he thinks. After all, we all came from homes were we were taught. Since what i wrote to uliya was so badly twisted to mean what i did not say, i take it that you guys do not like me participating. I wouldn't be meddling with you girls, i will take care not to reply any of your posts. As i said, i did not join to fight, kiddies stuff? I really thought we were going to discuss serious issues but it seems i made a mistake. My curiousity about uliya's search was meant as alight hearted joke on her. A little acid but a joke all the same. i am a matured person and i discuss anything openly. And if you are hurt about the mulatoo/a sorry oh! I do not go around calling people donkeys, i do not know why you are bent on turning me into a monster. And what i said is true. here, it is used on a daily basis to described mixed people, here it is not an insult yet.Just so that you'll know, it is commonly used in your beloved liberia also. Once again, sorry for intefering in your forum.

Ok Pike
let's put it this way..
You agree we use words/slangs without really knowing
what some of them really mean, but they seem innocent.

I myself only found out 3 years ago what mulatto really means.
The same way the N word is used ..You know what I mean by
the N word?

Yes I said you were a good person. You were not expressing
yourself the way you are doing now.

And no Pike..Sisi is not at war with you. You are free to express
yourself. But notice that, with the same freedom you express
yourselves others too have a right to express their thoughts and
feelings.

Nobody is saying we don't want you here, this is your forum too.
We all have different ideas and come with different points of views.
Sometime we may not agree with another persons view points, but
that does not mean you are not liked.

You are right all the so called peace keeping organisations don't
seem to be able to bring a one time solution and end problems.
And you know my stance of God's word and things foretold and
yet to come. I have already stated we are living in the last days.
God did say man would set up various governments but they will
not be able to sustain peace. It is only Christ's kingdom that will
bring peaceful government and living conditions to mankind.

Before you start, I do know you don't believe in God so that is cool
by me. I am just repeating what I already said and what I stand by.

Take a look ..google the origins of the word mulato . Trust me mixed
race halfcaste people are given derogatory names. If you can't find it
I will copy and paste so you can read for yourself.

If you don't know children born of the white master and black slave
were despised and we live still with that attitude.

Alex Hayley who wrote Roots had a descendant who was half cast
When I recall the name of the film made about it I will let you know
then you can see how people of mixed race are hated.

No I am not ashamed. Every race gets spat on. We know that.

Sisi p, thanks for replying. Even though i said i wasn't going to write again but i just had to. You see, i do not want you feeling bad because of me. I hate every one of those words/slangs that are used against you , me and everybody else. Here there are words like Negra( when it is meant to offend)," negrita( when they want to be good),"negrito"also. "moreno", "morena(brown or brownie) everyday! Both educated and non educated people talk to us like that. You can understand why i feel this way, However, maybe i come on a little too strong about topics like this. It is because i grew up in Africa and we are taught to respect so much that, i find all of this as a gross disrespect to all of us. Frankly speaking, i do not like it at all. Others might not understand but as I realized, one does not know what racism is until he feels it under his proper skin! And i am not blaming you, uliya, nor rinabear. That's just the way things are or that's just the way we let things happen to us. So take no offense and even though i do not believe but GOD BLESS!

I always say it is good to Communicate. Communication does not
just involve speaking but really listening/reading and digesting
what is said. If something is not right it is good to put one's
feelings and thoughts down and perhaps use doumented facts
to illustrate what the communicator is trying to get others to understand.
We learn everyday, and part of learning is making adjustments
and changes to our lives and the way we think and deal with others.
Everybody has something to share, and we can all learn various
lessons in life. As you know, each new day brings a new experience.
Hope you have a nice day..

pike2 you did come across as bitter........in fact you still do. Plain and simple!

Secondly, I have lived in Europe and have experienced racism there. Did I allow it to "color" how I looked at the rest of Europe? No. I believe: in every bushel of apples, there's gonna be some bad ones.

What you and I know about interracial marriages is a very minute percentage, good or bad. Does that mean they don't work? Some do and some don't; as in the case with all marriages and relationships.

Please do not reduce this to a "woman going after another woman" thing; because it is so far from that. You express a view on this forum; if someone does not agree with it, expect to get some "pushbacks"! And I don't think you qualify to express what the men on this forum were thinking either (as to their reasons for not posting to this thread).

Oh by the way...............the connection was made! Cool Thank you.

Nicely put Rina.

On the point of inter racial marriages let me just point out
my parents met when they were both 19 years old.
Their marriage only ended when my father passed away
at the tender age of 61.
I am 46 years old. My older brother is 51 and my older
sister is 55. Lt me not forget my Baby Brother aged 44
As far as we are concerned our parent's brought us up
in a fine way with love for everyone regardless of colour
or what race whoever is falling in love with another.
My Brother is married to a lovely lady half Sudanese and
half Yoruba. How come they have been happily married
since 1983?
Yess inter racial marriages do work.
And I do believe that one race can love another because
love is not a colour it is a feeling, that oozes from within
one's mind and soul.

I have been around long enough to know and understand
what makes marriages work and it certainly has no bearings
on colour. Ask God!!!

My Pastor once said to me she didn't know she was black until she came to America! I was puzzled at her statement; but then I thought about it some more and it made sense. Everytime you fill out a form or something, they ask for you to select a "race". And tell you it's for "reporting" purposes only!

Question: Who are they reporting to, and why do they need to report it?

In Liberia we are raised to think of everyone as equals; when you look at someone , you don't see a skin color, you see a man, woman, child etc etc etc (The KING AND I flashback)

Love is a "gift" from God. The devil has corrupted it and turned it into something so far from what God intended it to be! This whole racism stems from "fear":

Fear that the "white" race is not the dominant race.......

Fear that the color of your skin has absolutely nothing to do with you intelligence!

And so much more, forgive me Sisi, but the ROYAL FAMILY ain't the only ones with "blue-blood"!

The Bible tells me that : God is love and that perfect love "casts" out fear. 1 John 4:18 And that's all I need to know! I'm gonna love you (whomever), whether you love me back or not! Smile

Rina let the truth always be spoken.

I am no Royalist, tho I do respect Lizzy as a human being.
Lizzy=Elizabeth Very Happy
The Windsors are not even English, they originate from
Germany and Russia. The truth is they had to change their
surname to become accepted by the British. This are just
Historical facts that not many know about.

Yet the same British who hate the Germans are actually
being ruled over by the so called hated nation and race.
That's just by the way Wink

On your point about one race dominating the world..
I need to ask a question here, which is directed to everyone.
Why must one human even consider themself superior
to another, then extend that to ruling over others?

The way things were set and intended by God was for
us all to enjoy life and be equals. Not to sit and segregate,
then fight over ownership for a piece of land we didn't
even create.

Filling in forms about race/colour and religion happens in UK
as well. Now, they even ask what what languages
you speak at home and what language is spoken by the
children when at home if you claim an ethnic minority group/race.
We know we are being watched.

Racism is alive and still thriving. When somebody in the street
talks to you and says where are you from and you name an
area in the town you live, they respond with no, no, I meant
what country because you cannot be from Kent since you are
black, I meant what country do you originate from.
This just proves to me that people are obsessed with
our colour and origins. Rolling Eyes

Even that name Ethnic Minority........
I am not of the Minority I am of the human race which
includes everyone.
I believe the origin of the word ethnic means dirty.
I will research it again because I found this out a few years ago
on the internet and let you all know when I have done so.

Rina, you do not have to be so hard! I do have the right to complain about things that i do not like, no? I expressed my thoughts, not what the men on this forum are thinking. I cannot probably know what someone else is thinking, no one can. It has nothing to do with being qualified. I don't wnat to be qulified to know what men on this forum are thinking, you see, i have my own things to think about! I noticed you come on a little harsh also, are you bitter too? Why i wonder? You may have lived in Europe and may have experienced racism, that does not mean that, we have the same experience. And people do see things differently and interprate each experience differently. Racism has many faces. We have been divided into various groups for example. You are respected or disrespected according to the kind of black you are. A black american is better than all blacks, a south american or brazilian black is better than an African black etc.. etc. You want to say that i should see and feel all of this and i should not complain? Very hard not to. At least for me. It hurts me to know that, these people are treated with all respect when they go to Africa and when we come here they treat us with the greatest disrespect! One thing is to live the situation on a daily basis and another thing is to observe from a distance. I never said that interracial marriages does not work. I am not so stupid to say that, when i live here and know also that, in some cases it works and in other cases it does not. like other marriages. I was not even marrying anybody off! I was just asking uliya things that's all! She did not say any of these things you are saying, she only said that her city is not i village. Here, i have never said anything about anybody's family, i want this to be made very clear. Okay? I am happy to know that, this is not a "woman going after another woman thing" It would be sad, after so much struggle! Be cool!

GIRLS, AFTER ALL THE FUSSING, NO ONE IS FROM ANOTHER PLANET. WE ALL NO MATTER WHAT PART OF THE
WORLD YOU FROM, WE ARE ALL FROM PLANET EARTH, REMEMBER. WE SUPPOSED TO BE THE MOST CLEVER OF
ALL LIVING THING WALKING THE FACE OF THE EARTH BECAUSE OF OUR THINKING. WE HAVE THE LARGEST BRIAN THERE IS, OUR ABILITY TO THINK AND DO THINGS SUPERCEDES BEYOND IMAGINATION. RECONIZE THAT. MAYBE WITH THIS, WE WILL LEARN NOT TO SAY BLACK RACE, WHITE RACE, OTHERS, JUST SAY HUMAN RACE IS'NT THAT WHAT WE ARE? MAYBE I AM WRONG, TELL ME. Idea

Thanks. How nice to have a Man's point of view.
The skin is just the packaging we come in.
Colours make the world beautiful.
I see people not colour.
Sometimes I wonder why people use their brains
to hate instead of loving and showing kindness.
We are all the same. Just individuals in different
pretty/handsome packaging all designed by God
which is pleasing to the eyes.
Did he not say Perfect when he finished making man?
