A black man walked into a cafe and the white man said, "Colored people are not allowed here."

The black man turned around and stood up. He then said:
"Listen sir....when I was born I was BLACK,"
"When I grew up I was BLACK,"
"When I'm sick I'm BLACK,"
"When I go in the sun I'm BLACK,"
"When I'm cold I'm BLACK,"
"When I die I'll be BLACK."

"But you sir." "When you're born you're pink,"
"When you grow up you're white,"
"When you're sick, you're green,"
"When you go in the sun you turn red,"
"When you're cold you turn blue,"
"And when you die you turn purple."
"And you have the nerve to call me colored?"

The black man then sat back down and the white man walked away.... Pass it on if you HATE racism. If ur racist, well...heres a little lesson on using racist words!! Laughing

Nahhh I just leave God to deal with racists in His own way and His own time.
Sometimes words can fuel situations that end up getting out of control.

I know who I am and I am a WHOLE person. Anyone can have their own opinion about me. That is all it is..an opinion.. their words and opinions do not mean I AM what they say.

WELL SAID SISIPANCAKE, I look at everybody as humanbeing, nothing else.
I think the word "RACE", put a divide to the human existence. We are all human,
no matter what your skin shade is. If we all start to see and think this way, we will be fine,
trust me. The flowers we use to beautified our homes, gardens, all come in different
colors, put them together, they make a beautiful garden, baskets, pots, which ever
way you use them, with their different colors, they are still flowers. That's just what we are
at end of the day.

STEVOO
now we are speaking the same language.
Variety is the spice of life. How boring it
would be if we all looked identical...

Stevoo you know some people feel their race or tribe is superior.
Instead of learning from each other and growing in knowledge,
all they want to do is start world war 3

Sisipan, I never been part of the RACE war and I'm never going to be a part.
They can call me anything they want to call me, that's their thinking, but that's
not what I am. I am what I am. GOD knows why he made us the way we are,
let that be known. GOD blessings to all human being.

if they feel they are brave enough.

I was just had this conversation with a friend of mine; and I said to him, I never knew I was "black" until I came to America.
It's amazing the trouble they go through just to classify a person:black-hispanic, african-american, asian-american etc.
And if you don't fit in any of those categories, you have to select "other"! My question is: Does "other" imply that I'm some other species, or just "lumped" in with a group of people who refuse to be defined by the color of their skin!!!!!!

Rinabear.. I found myself in a situation. My house had been burgled and I after giving my statement..the Woman Police Officer asked me..what ethnic minority I belonged to. I said Black African.
She look at me in disgust and said.. you are neither black nor white.
I will put you in the *Other* box.

I asked her where on the map of the world was the country called other, or where do these *Others* originate from?
I got no answer.
Some weeks later I had a follow up Satisfaction Call.. from Maidstone Kent Head Office. I stated what had transpired to which the officer on the phone said that, that was racist and would I like to file a complaint.

I didn't bother. My point is why do they even have Other on the paper work if it is racist?

EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But they tell you it's for reporting purposes only, and has no adverse affect on your application or whatever. And like you, my question is: then why put it there?
I mean if you want to find out how many blacks, hispanics, asians, etc are applying for loans, there is a simpler process.
But I think I'm being "short changed", cuz I don't fit into one of "their" categories. Like you don't "belong" or something, so then you select a category anyway, even if you don't "technically" fit in that category.

Talk about stress!!!!!!!!! Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes
I just want to change the address on my driver's license with out "kicking" my BP up a few notches. Laughing Laughing

I know how you feel.
Very Happy
We just live in a complicated world, run by complicated
minded people.
Obviously racism is alive and growing, they try not to
make it obvious but we can't be fooled.

They are keeping an eye on us!!!

You know we talk about racism, what about tribalism? That is a form of racism!!!!!!! There was a time in the Liberian community where I live; some men were introducing themselves like this:

My name is John, I'm kpelle by tribe! Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked
And I thought that was so ignorant; the amazing thing is: these were not illiterate men!

P.S. Kpelle is one of the Liberian tribes.

OOO That happens alot amongst Nigerians.
Even in chat rooms they say things like, I am Yoruba,
I could never marry an Ibo.
When I am asked where I am from, I tell them,
I be rainbow pikin. Meaning I claim nowhere.
It's very sad to hear things like that.

LOL
Sisi, I almost lost my lunch just now with the rainbow pikin thing. That is the funniest thing I have ever heard! Just a word of advice; the gays and lesbians now use the colors of the rainbow to symbolize their organization in the US. So careful when you claim to be "rainbow pikin" Laughing Laughing Laughing
