I think when we start looking for a partner, we should first examine ourselves. Are you really ready to commit to someone, or are you simply attracted to that person for their beauty, money,......; am I ready to trust again?
When you've done some serious soul searching, then start looking. Alot of times we "bounce" from one relationship to another, carring our hurts and "let downs" to the next person; not giving ourselves a chance to stop, reassess the situation, heal, smell the flowers, grow etc. I think that's how we end up with the wrong people. We choose people that appeal to how we are feeling at that point in time.
Besides I am the "old fashion" type; I expect a man to take me to dinner, call, send flowers or cards; open the door for me etc. And no, this does not get you to "first base". You simply are trying to "catch" my attention.
If you think dating an African woman is too expensive; think again! Other nationalities are equally expensive, going out to dinner, movies, buying her things, ........if you don't want to spend money on a woman, maybe you should consider becoming a monk! |
