Abortion vs Men's Rights?

By law a woman can choose to abort or have a child. With no input from the father of said child. By law, the man must pay for said child if delivered (child support). Why can a man NOT be asked if he wants to keep a child subject to abortion, before allowing the abortion to proceed. Where are the Men's rights when it comes to parenting?

Personally i think they should take the law out of this and let the couple handle it on their own.

Well some couples can't come to decisions.
However, if a woman does not wish to keep
the baby, I think she should give the child
to the father, when the little one is born.

Some women use abortion as a method of
birth control and I hate that.

Abortion is murder plain and simple. But until more people step up to the plate and say "I'll take that child and raise it" The horrible practice of killing an unborn baby will continue. After all "I't just not convienent to have a baby at this time" But let me tell you if everyone waited untill everything was perfect to have a child there would be a lot less children on this world! If you can't raise your child then Let someone else! Now It's time for all the People who think abortion is wrong to do what it takes (Yes it's a lot of hassles, and paperwork) to be an Approved Foster or Adoptive Parent and take these babies and raise them. I get sick of people saying "I'd take that baby" O yeah! Prove it and get yourself aproved by the local foster or adoptive parent agencies. I guess I got on a bit of a rant there but it's a subject I feel strongly about. You bring up a few issues here about men's rights. The best thing you can do is make sure that you don't become a parent unless you have a good wife who your commited to for life and, you both work at keeping a good strong relationship. Idealy every child should have a mom and a dad to love and raise them. I know it doesn't always work out that way and then you do the best you can in your circumstances. Your not going to get many people feeling sorry for Dads having to pay child support(unless it's some dad who is paying and doesn't want to part with his "precious" money) because, It's said dad's child why shouldn't he support his child. As far as having a dad's permision to abort a baby I think that a dad should have the right to have his child, but he better be willing to raise it!(please remember that I think that abortion should NEVER happen)

You do realise there are medical situations where abortion
sadly takes place? Like ectopic pregnancies and
when a woman has cancer?
Ectopic pregnancies are life threatening. The woman could
die.

What about if a woman/young girl is raped and found to
have caught a concoction of STD's? Should she go
ahead and have a very sick baby? And remember
too that a little girls pelvic area is not big enough
to deal with child birth. She and that baby could die.

There are so many scenarios one can think of.

I have always said..people who cannot feed themselves,
and can't take care of their daily lives should not be
engaging in sex. But what do I know?

Not everyone qualifies to be foster parents. It is not
that simple. Some have the heart felt desires but health
and financial situations may prevent a person from
qualifying to become foster parents.

I personnally think abortion IS MURDER . I don't find it acceptable under any circumstances.
I might abstain, however, if the life of the child's mother is at stake.

First of all abortion between couples should be an informed and agreed decision of both partners. With regards to a single woman, like Sisi said in her second posts- there are so many scenarios where abortion is a necessary evil. I draw the line, though, when it is intentionally planned or callously done.

Technically, abortion is considered 'safe' if the fetus is under 2-3 months.

There are no safe abortions. I think everyone knows of instances where doctors have been wrong. God is the giver of life. Who's to say that the child will come out really damaged?

I know, I have even asked myself about the same "special situations", and there are doubts in my mind too about them. I have my own "extremist" views on them.

But for men having a say-so in the decision: I think your right ended when you decided to have sex without protection. And for those instances where the "condom broke", ....................... c'mon!

As for the women who feel that abortion is just another form of "birth control", she doesn't deserve the gift of conception.

And I understand Three's point, unfortunately it's not easy raising someone else's child. Adoption is another touchy subject around these parts.

1. The question of whether gay couples should be allowed to raise babies.

2. Should black babies be raised by white couples? And vice versa. (Remember the baby Madonna wanted to adopt and the whole uproar it caused?)

I believe if sex remained as God intended, there wouldn't be such issues, but the devil has perverted the beautiful act between a man and a woman and as a result of that, here we are on this forum!

Too many times we humans try to play god...................and we were not created to do so.

My personal pet peeve is the: the test tube babies????????????? Shocked

Soulless babies is what I call them! The same with "cloning". I think there is a "cloned" human somewhere around here and we just haven't been told!

Rina once again you said it all.. I could not put it any better.
All abortions have drawbacks.
One main one is.. it weakens the uterus (neck of the womb),
which means she cannot carry the baby full term.
I think we should start a topic about ivf babies, surrogacy,
egg and sperm donataions.

Contrary to what you might believe, there are safe abortions. There are also known and proven instances where too much friction and/or inadequate lubrication can cause a condom to tear. I, for one, refuse to pass judgments on women who commit abortion. That's between they and their God or conscience if they're atheist.

About the adoption issue, well that needs to be fully discussed as another topic. Madonna's wahala stemmed from the fact that she didn't go through the legal process of adopting the boy plus the kid's not an orphan.

Adoption is not limited to orphans only. If the father had consented to give his child to Madonna, no one had the right to step in and say anything!

I think the father of the child addressed that issue though!
