The cheapest I've seen is $75US a night. If you find a $3o bucks a night let me know so I can get my room for a month. |

Hi Krugirl,
i want to keep in touch with you, because i really want to come to Liberia for some days. Do you mean you can rent room for some days? I can not stay for long, perhaps 5 days. IS there public transport from Freetown by land or sea during daytime? Is it relatively safe? |

Hey byty, I just came from Liberia a week ago and I am very fine, I loved it when I was there, can't wait to be back in march of 08, I think you said that you will be in Liberia for 5 days?.. I don't what your plans are, but 5 days hmmm...
I don't know about that. For your information, I was in Liberia for one month, I was doing a third building project, a survey for a posible business venture. I saw some of my old friends I have not seen in years, there are people there from the States, Europe and you name it. To answer your question, YES, there is internet service, there are cellphones all over the place, there is commercial transportation, from regular to rental or chatered services around, depends on which one you prefer. local security is ok, I used to be up until 1am to 2am, didn't expect that but I did. For hotel stay Kru Liberiangirl is right, the cheapest you could find will be about $ 75 bucks, I was lucky to find one for 60 bucks a night, even at that, I just stay there for ten days and moved out to my house, to sumed up my whole trip, I had a ball. Remember this you have to experience it yourself. 5 days sound more like a tourist to me, don't waste your airfare, go with a free mind and enjoy your country and people, trust me, you will have fun. may I mention you will be safe. I had those feelings before. |

Hi Steve,
thank you very much for information.
i will go to Sierra Leone and i have only 3 weeks holidays. And i wanted to see how is Liberia. So it is not possible for me to stay very long, because i am employed and i can not have more holidays. But i want to go by minibus from Sierra Leone to Liberia. If it si safe during daytime, then i think is no problem. I also heart that Liberia is a very nice country, that is the reason why i want to see it. It is not my first time in Africa and i dont need the luxury. Do you know the name of the hotel for 60 Dollar or do you have the telephone number, so that i can make a reservation from Germany? I would be glad about your answer. |
