Hi to one and all. I have today joined this online experience so i can learn more about Liberia, its people and customs. I am British living in the UK who happens to have fallen very much in love with a Liberian lady. I recently visited Ghana and she was also staying there and when we met the sparks flew, i have been back in UK for 7 weeks now and miss her terribly, we speak 3 or 4 times every day. I am coming to Liberia on 6th August to meet her family so who knows what might happen Very Happy

So I hope you dont mind having a "white guy" on here and are happy to tell me more about your beautiful country.

Good to see you know how to speak the Queens english ( colour ) hahahaha

I'm flying to Monrovia on 6th August, Adama's family live in Kakata and i am led to believe it should be a big shock for me as they are still trying to recover from the ravages of war and corruption .....my eyes are wide open !

I will certainly be reading and replying to many other posts on this forum as i want to understand a lot more about Liberia and Liberians.

Not a big fan of the Beckham circus i'm afraid, good player but Hollywood is where he belongs ,,,,,,,,,,,,me i support Aston Villa, hopefully you are familiar with them, Champions of Europe in 1982 but nothing much to shout about since though !!

And talking about boxers......Ricky Hatton, Joe Calzaghe, Barry McGuigan...they are all white lol

I will try and figure out how to attach a photo of my lovely Liberian lady

Use the Img tab
[img] [/img]

if your right click on your picture in the gallery it will give u a Url
copy that then paste it between [img]url...[/img] no spaces.
If it does not work let me know

Nothing to worry about there, my sweethearts cousin lives in London and having met him he is a really nice guy. I am the first white guy she has ever dated and her family and friends were all totally shocked Laughing

But i say "Once you go white its gonna be all right " hahahahahahhaa...just joking before anyone takes offence

I think you're gonna have a wonderful time! Remember to eat some Cassava leaf, fufu and soup........go swimming; eat some mangos fresh off the tree, golden plums, pineapples.............just go buck wild! Do everything I have not been able to do.

I actually have an aunt who owns a farm there in Kakata; I used to go for visits there when I was a little girl. And we'd visit the Tolbert or Tubman zoo. There was a huge land turtle named "Fred". I don't know if he survived the war, 'cuz he was really old.

My aunt's last name is Gooding. Anyway just have fun. Bring back pictures.
