Hi Guy's

Me and 2 friend's of mine were sitting down the other night to a cup of tea. We were saying that we were fed up travelling on cheap holidays to spain cause it gets boring doing the same thing. Then I said for a laugh why dont we drive to LIBERIA. They laughed for about 2 mins and then said why not lets try it. We decided to go for it around late 2011 cause this trip would need a load of planning and sacrifices.

We would start south Ireland get a ferry to france then drive all the way down to south spain about 1000 miles. Then we leave from ferry port in Morocco driving all the way to Monrovia about 2500 we think. We would be passing through Morocco, Western Sahara, Mauritania, Senegal, The Gambia, Guinea, Sierra Leone, then of course Liberia.

We are writing here to get all the help we can travelling through Africa, if anybody has any hints or tips for us, or any good directions we would gratefully except them with thanks. What we also plan on doing is writing a blog all the way from Ireland to Liberia, taking pictures on the way of every country and the people we meet. We are only 2 days into this Idea and we are already excited and cant wait.

thanks in advance for your help

It's best to drive in the dry season as some roads becomes flooded or inaccessible when it rains, also be aware that there are land mines between the western Sahara and Mauritania, take the road to Dakhla and the Army will safely escort you to the border. Good Luck!
