Hello and Welcome,
Those who are under a burden to decide whether they should return to Liberia or for that matter, return to other parts of world to permanently live there after their stay for donkey years abroad, are not only funny but phonies too.

liberians are naive and so blind to the world of today, Liberians kills. So what? No one is begging you to return to these conditions. If you have found your social America, stay there. But I think you miss home and that is why you want to come back.

You have your reasons for not wanting to come back to your roots. In that case, the decision is yours to come or not to come. ACS and the earlier pioneers to Africa did not write to some Zulu or Ashanti kings to find out about conditions in Africa before they ventured into the "dark continent".

If you want a report about Liberia to look like one from utopia before you return, I shall suggest that you send that enquiry a hudred years from now, and I shall willingly accommodate you. I hope I shall still be living then to do your bidding. Dont be a joker and a jerk.

Liberia is dirty and teemed with criminals, etc. This is so because we are waiting for the leaders of the country to come and remove our refuse and clean our homes and villages for us. These are things that we can and must do for ourselves to make Liberia look beautiful and clean. Get off from your high horse, come down and help clean the environment, let us form co-operatives in our neighbourhoods to fight crime and look out for one another's welfare. That will be a start. Come and teach us what you have learnt abroad. Do not come and lord it over us. Got it?

Liberians are waiting for a leader to bring security, education, equal rights an opportunity, ownership, family value, unity, mange the country and the people for the greater good of humanity..ect. Don't need leaders to come and remove our (refuse) and clean our homes and villages for us, that a personal thing.

yes, i will not return to liberia as long as liberia is not on a path that will encourage me to return. i have spend 90% of my life in other people land building myself a life. why return to the one that wasn't there for me when i was 8yrs old. the leadership in liberia is not really nor willing to except people with good intent from abroad. the privatization of LTC is a good example. the government and its people are corrupt and ignorant.

I think it's very easy for us to sit here and critisize and complain about the way things should be and how things should be run; I think we should start commending the little changes we see, applauding those that are actually making an effort to change things, and we should start appreciating Liberia, all that she was, is and is going to be... bedcause that's history!

i am biracial and a liberian-italian. i left liberian when i was 8 years old. i lived in italy then came to the u.s. at the age of 19 yrs. to attend university. i still speak the liberian english, i eat the food, know the history of my country and love and embrace every part of my heritage. liberians have been living through hell in these past 15 yrs. the country is in a horrible state but never one day did i feel ashamed of having a liberian mother or denied my heritage. liberia is a part of me....it's in my blood...i can't deny it even if i wanted to. i wish to visit liberia very soon and play a major role in reastablishing our country.
LIBERIA IS SUFFERING...WE AS LIBERIAN NEED TO FIX WHAT BELONG TO US....IF WE DON'T DO IT WHO IS?!

Very proud to have a liberian upbringing...I live in the United States and my dad is Liberian mom is American born here in the states, however I lived in liberia from 1984-1996 and to be quite honest if I didn't have...I would of been quite lost without my liberian upbring despite the war...that just taught me how to be a suvivor....

So despite the negative please be proud to be a liberian....you should hear me sometimes...I fight to keep my liberian accent even though my friends and family were laughing at me when I went home in June 2005...lol

Being a Liberian is a great gift from God.
Everywhere Liberians go, they are recognized.
Liberians are very good socialiable kind of people
Liberians don't segregate like they do in the US, putting lable on people like a cloths designer will put a tag on their product.
Liberians don't care about the color of skin.
We are peaceful people.
We don't react unless we have to.
I love liberia.
I plan on living the rest of my life there. I plan on building a house in my motherland.
No place like home.
Liberians are the only people I have really seen that live in concrete houses. Here in France and the US, most of the houses are plank and made of plywood. That's the reason why the Tornados don't play when it come around.
I love my heritage. I wouldn't trade it for nothing.
I am a Liberian.

I don't understand why anyone would be ashamed to be Liberian, you have a rich history and while turbulent it has had its positives. Remember Liberia is Africa's oldest republic and through sheer determination through all its problems it shows no signs of going anywhere.
I an not Liberian but respect and admire you as a people and culture. Stay strong I see a brighter future ahead.

I feel proud to believe that Liberia will be the first country in West Africa to have a female President. I think that it is a good start for Liberia as she wakes up and begin a new journey. Mrs. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf will do what it takes for Liberia with the help of those patriotic Liberians that are willing to stand by her side and move the country forward.

Although I currently live in the United States and enjoy the many opportunities that it has to offer, I am still anxious to return home and help with the rebuilding of our nation. As matter of fact I even plan to work in the military or police force to help protect and serve as I currently do in the United States Marines. I think that we all owe Liberia what ever contribution we can afford to make or pledge. But first, we who live outside of the country and have the education, skills, and expertise to return home should do it willingly and peacefully so that we can not be frustrated because of lack of patience and begin practicing the same old-days style of our past leaders.

Liberians are friendly people, and I am certain that there are lot of countries out there that are presently waiting to assist us in our trials and reconstruction of our country. In order for this to occur, we need to all "set the example" and "lead the path of liberia to a brighter future. We can't silently sit on the sidelines in Liberia or out side of the country and do nothing but critisize those who are going to try their best. I personally think that we should deviate ourselves from the selfish Liberian politics that "if I am not in the position, I wont help him/her to do the right thing and make the system work.

We have to be vigilant in our cause for freedom, equal opportunity, social justice and equality, and most importantly, economic development. Peace to all Liberians and let us struggle to regain the respect that Liberia once had in the international community. We can not have a strong country when our minds are week, when we have little interest in our communities, when we lack the responsilibility to act as good citicizens, when our actions have to be compromise by great nations because of financial assistance or humanitirian help, and when the very leaders whom we choose to lead put first their private interest ahead of the interest of the state.

I wish we should all by now understood the importance of peace and what opportunity it brings. I am convince that Liberians have learned a lot from civil conflict and public unrest that we all will do what ever it takes to prevent any form of mayhem to our strugling nation and its people. We should by now stand by the side of our neighbors and enbrace their acceptance of genuine peace and prosperity, and after this has occured, Liberians all over the World will feel pround to start where they left off.

Long live Liberia, and God bless Liberia.

The Lone star forever, Oh long may it flow over land over sea, desert it no never, uphold it forever, Oh shout for the lone star banner!!!!!! All hail Cool .

I said it, and will continue to do so......We are unique. Cool Liberia has made history again and from all indications VIPS are verging to be part of our history come janunary 16!!!!!
To say it is an honour to witness the first female elected president of Africa sworn into office is an understatement. " Priviledged" is the word.

Proud doesn't explain, lets try "Priviledged." You see when you hear Amerians and Eroupeans talking, they always know someone from Africa(mainly Nigeria). But when you mention Liberia, they know something about our history and my heart smile everytime I hear it. We are unique and stand out in the crowd.

It make me even prouder to see the many accomplishments of Liberian all over the world. Cotinue to make your name and the country proud.
