I am new to this site and am interested in others opinions as to why Liberia is denied exporting diamonds and lumber.

I am an American. Our 2 Countries share the same heritage, DNA, Constitution (almost) and just about everything including language.

Why are we so different economically? Aside from the fact only Liberian Nationals may own real property (this really hurts with foreign investment), what process along the way did we go in different directions?

I am quite interested in your Country and would like to see how things can be made better for you. After all, we are related.

Sincerely,

Bryan Kerwick

Bryan pls dont tell me you're not aware of the banned on export of diamonds and lumbers. As a american you should be fully aware of that.

I am an American. Our 2 Countries share the same heritage, DNA, Constitution (almost) and just about everything including language.

L've been hearing this since I was a kid. But, u guys do nothing to help us through our struggles. The international community have to presure the bush adminstration to do something to help us.

Why are we so different economically? Aside from the fact only Liberian Nationals may own real property (this really hurts with foreign investment), what process along the way did we go in different directions?

We are different economically because we have been exploited by western countries for a long time now. Your country and other foreign countries signed contracts with our past gorvenments for more than 150 yrs. And still pays the same among of cents in the contract after all the convertion of currency are still being pay to us. example firestone plantation. And during those days our leaders didn't take the country into hearts.

I am quite interested in your Country and would like to see how things can be made better for you. After all, we are related.

That is a good idea, I hope our new elected government will allow american investors to invest in the country. As I now see the country leaning to china.

Sincerely,

Bryan Kerwick

Peace: I love my country Liberia
