maggie use the Img tabs
But your pics have to come from the web.

You see the window you type in..look above you will see B i U quote code list list= then img

so for example if you want to post a picture like a which you found
on the web you would post it like this..

Notice that every picture has a url address
the saxaphone I want to post has the address
http://www.bonnieslimoges.com/music/saxaphone.jpg which is located
at the top of the picture when you click on it.

copy the address then click on img
so it will be
[img]
next to [img] you paste the url of the pic .
it should now look like this

[img]http://www.bonnieslimoges.com/music/saxaphone.jpg

notice there are no spaces.
now you have to close the tag.

you do this by clicking on the Img tab again which will give you
[/img]

so it will look like this
[img]http://www.bonnieslimoges.com/music/saxaphone.jpg [/img]

for visual purpose I have left a space between the closing tab on the
right. but when you do it make sure there are no spaces

now you try it.
