I agree..gay bashing is wrong.
It is not up to any human to judge
another on their sexuality.
I have a lot of gay friends. I see them
as people with personalities.
What goes on in their bedroom is nothing
to do with me.
That is my 2 pence worth!!!

I don't understand how you all can say homosexuality is "natural" and that people are "born that way".
If that is the case, what about beastiality? Is there a defect in the genes that causes them to have sex with animals?
How about all the other fetishes and preferences out there............are they too considered to be birth defects?
Homosexuality is a
prefrence
! Plain and simple.
There are no tests or anything to prove other wise. If that was the case, from birth they would exhibit these tendencies. I mean there would be 9 months old gay little boys and girls. Little 2 yrs old gay boys and girls!
Why hide? I mean, I don't see people with
other
birth defects hiding. And please don't pull out the "fear" of gay bashing. All they have to do is prove that they have a birth defect, an abnormality of the human gene make up and they should be fine.
It really bothers me when people don't call sin for what it is....................homosexuality is a sin! I know we like to take God out of everything, but you can't!
We were made in the image of the MOST HIGH GOD!!! If you want to believe that you are less than what you were created to be, that's your biz.
How is it that some homosexuals are able to "turn" from that lifestyle, and live normal lives, marrying and having families?
I don't hate gay people, and I am not bashing on them, it's just sad to see the wasted potential! |

lol Rina...you are absolutely 100% correct.
God himself condems the act,, and asks
people to repent. Remember Sodom and
Gomorah..I guess some folk will say that
was a story.

Sisi............they will use any excuse to keep living in sin. That's the first thing they say about the Bible.......................but historians are now finding evidence of the Hittites, Jebusites, Perizzites and all the other "ites" that God spoke about.
He told the Isrealites, they would see them no more.....................they didn't and we haven't either. Amen! |

.....hey...I'm not siding with the fudge packers and carpet munchers, but you people need to stop being such small minded brainwashed sheep. The evidence that homosexuallity is caused by genetics gone awry is overwhelming. Why do you religious types always have to bottle up life in a little box called the Bible..?? |

religious bigots wanting people to kill, hurt, abuse, etc, their fellow humans because it somehow satisfies their closeted sadistic kicks.
whether homosexuality is natural or acquired is besides the point, the issue is how far would u go with r religious zealotry?
leave your so-called sinners, gays, to go to hell on their own accord, not on your bigoted -pseudo-religious- high -stool mentality/concept.
just pop-off dem dudes/gals,would u? |

Whilst I can think of many good reasons (practical and mundane, as well as religious) for being concerned about a friend or family member adopting a homossexual lifestyle, I certainly wouldn'd advocate the persecution of any of them (or anyone else) on those grounds.
Jesus gave very good example when he was asked to judge a woman caught in adultery (according to Mosaic law the woman would have to be stoned). His reply was:
"...let the known who is without sin cast the first stone (...) Where are your condemners? I do not condemn you either. Go and sin no more...) |

To the three of you............no one is condemning anyone. This is not about being small-minded or brainwashed; no one on this site is!
Professor for someone who seems so smart and on "top of things", it's amazing to me that the increase in the homosexuality population has not caused you to question "the over-whelming evidence" of human genetics gone "awry".
denzel.............you must be referring to someone else, perhaps on another thread or website; 'cuz nothing in my post hinted at anything of that nature! And the question asked was to your opinion on the increase in number of homosexuals in the Liberian community; there was nothing zealous about it.
Miguel..................I'm glad you brought that up, because Jesus did not condemn the lady; but rather He neither told her to carry on with her life of sin.
God hates sin.........................whether it be stealing, lying, adultery or homosexuality; He hates it. God loves the sinner that's why he made a way back to Him through His SON!
Call it whatever you like the Bible does not lie.................. |

Since I am from America I see that there is definitely a Western influence in popularity.
I don't think that its a coincidence that now that its popular in America its getting popular in Africa |

Homosexuality is not new phenomenon in Africa- it's just now, due to democratization and having a more tolerant society that it's coming out in some African countries.
Scientifically it's impossible in a society where there's only gays, will there be procreation. Y'all already know the religious view on it. Personally I have nothing against the sexual preference of an adult, whether he/she's gay, bi or straight. But as a society we must draw the line somewhere.
Soon we're gonna start hearing people say 'it's my sexual preference to have sex with animals'. What are we to say to that? And the pedophiles? If argument comes about of a faulty genetic makeup, wouldn't this apply to these people? Just a thought. |
