"Ehh, my people, your have to carry me all the way back". Left Liberia 23 years ago, but man when I went to visit for a year ago, I remembered where we lived in Paynesville and Barnesville. Can“t lie but some places were different. I was cracking up reading some of the post, the games I used to play as a little girl. |

We grew up in Firestone - Division 16. I remember eating mangosteen under we got sick. Pitanga, OHMIGOD - I used to hate that fruit. It always looked so good to eat but always was sour when I ate it. Getting chased by the neighbors dogs when we stole their plums. Eating german plums with salt and hot pepper. Breaking open almonds and palm kernel only to find the rotten seed. Eating fresh palm ***. I miss Liberia so much and mostly the plants and trees and the ocean. Life was so simple back then. |

I love fiahma market, bobby video club. playing marble all day under the tree, looking throught the video club zinks hole to spy in the ROMBO 1-2-3 movies, then someone spit in your eyes. eatting meat pie and boil eggs. Not forgetting the famous gareyolkor with all the beans and red oil.
NOT FORGETTING SUNDAY AFTER CHURCH, GOING TO THE BEACH PLAYING THE OPP BOYS....HOOP THEERE IS, HOOP THEERE IS. DANCING COMPETITIONS.
