The functions of the ministry is to provide administrative support at the executive mansion such as coordinating the executive and political activities of the President and his family, by keeping and Maintaining their diaries for the day to day engagements. The department also supervises development projects and maintenance work taking place at the executive mansion.

The responsibilities are as follows:

• To provide security, decoration maintenance for the President and the First Lady or First Gentleman at their residential place.

• The department is also responsible for providing public relations support to the President and the First Lady or First Gentleman by ushering their VIP visitors and controlling movement of visitors at the executive mansion.
